Tax Credit For Home Buyers Currently in Senate Bill

The stimulus package wending its way through Congress, has an interesting bonus that could ignite home sales in Marin County. The current bill includes a $15,000 credit for homebuyers. This would be for all homebuyers, not just first timers.

Stay tuned, I believe if this happens, it could be what moves lots of buyers off the fence.

With $15,000 back after you purchase you could-

-Cosmetically remodel a kitchen

- Redo a bathroom

- Take on a significant landscaping project

- Paint the house inside and out

And lots more, depending on the size of the home!

Don’t forget, we’re having a workshop for first time home buyers in Marin on Wednesday, at 7pm, in our offices in Greenbrae.  There will be a CPA to talk about tax benefits, a mortgage consultant to review loans, including FHA loans, and we’ll talk microclimates, commute times, school districts, and show you the best deals in Marin in all price ranges. We’re almost full, contact us if you’re interested at bravasio@fhallen.com.
