Back by popular demand, we are holding another workshop for first time home buyers in Marin County on April 8, at 7pm in our Greenbrae office.
Speakers will include Bill Shine, owner of William Shine Company, a large San Franicisco based accounting firm. Bill will talk about the tax implications and benefits of home ownership, including the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers and the California $10,000 credit for purchases of new home construction.
Gina Kemsley of RPM Mortgage will discuss loans, getting pre approved, cleaning up your credit score, and all of the steps you need to take to get a loan and get it cheaply. She’ll also discuss FHA loans and how to get one - these loans are becoming very popular and will let you buy with as little as 3% down!
I’ll review the various steps in the buying process, how to work with realtors, and how to get the best deal in Marin.
The whole thing will take 90 minutes, and will be concise and valuable - we have done surveys after each one, reviews have been great, and we’re making it even better based on the feedback we have received. Wine, snacks, and fun will be served.
